What is it for?

Maxwell Hydrocoolers quickly reduce the core temperature of fresh produce, prolonging shelf life and preserving taste and appearance.

How does it work?

The system consists of a swimming pool with a flooded stainless steel exchanger on which ice accumulates and a lifting system that submerges the product in the water allowing faster cooling than with the shower system and allowing the addition of sealants that greatly avoid the subsequent loss of weight in long shipments of merchandise.

-Capacity for 2 pallets loaded at a height of approximately 1.7 m.
-Water tank made of fiber cement, thermally insulated and with a capacity of 12,000 L.
-Pump for emptying and cleaning the tank.
-Water level control system in tank regulated by level sensor in stainless steel AISI 316.
-Submerged exchanger made of stainless steel plates with 32 m2 of exchange surface.
Lifting columns, fences and protections in galvanized steel with powder-coated paint.
-Support bases for pallets and horizontal closures built in electrowelded stainless steel grid.
-System of agitation of the water in deposit by means of bubbles of forced air to increase the convection and to improve the thermal exchange.
-Dedicated electric panel integrated in the equipment.
-2 pallets every 8 minutes.
-Cooling capacity : 8000 kg of cherries in 60 minutes.
